The inaugural ceremony of the Association of fellows and members of RCOG -Telangana chapter happened on 19th August in Hyderabad. Dr Uma Ram AICC RCOG chair, inaugurated the chapter and delivered her address. Dr Evita Fernandez advisor to the association also addressed the gathering.
As the founder President of the Association of Members and Fellows of RCOG -Telengana chapter it was indeed a privilege and honour to welcome all RCOG members into the forum and the inaugural session went exceedingly well. Around 70 doctors attended the session. The future plans of educational activities were shared with all doctors. Look forward to take the Telengana chapter to greater heights in the years to come.
The first scientific meeting of the Telangana Chapter of RCOG, CME programme conducted on Adolescent PCOS held on 4th November, was a resounding success and received an enthusiastic response from participants. The programme marked an important milestone in the chapter’s journey towards fostering academic excellence, collaboration, and continued professional development among healthcare professionals dedicated to women's health.
The meeting featured a thoughtfully curated scientific agenda that addressed contemporary issues and practical challenges in the management of Adolescent PCOS. The sessions were well received, with delegates appreciating the evidence-based presentations, insightful discussions, and clinically relevant take-home messages. The quality of the scientific content was consistently highlighted in participant feedback, reflecting the programme’s relevance to everyday clinical practice.
A total of 51 delegates attended the meeting, reflecting strong engagement and interest from the medical community.
A CME session on “Beyond Anovulation: Comprehensive Fertility Care in PCOS” was successfully conducted, on 4th December 2025 at the KIMS Hospitals Auditorium in Hyderabad bringing together healthcare professionals for an insightful discussion on the evolving landscape of fertility management in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
The session explored the need for a holistic and patient-centred approach that extends beyond ovulation induction, addressing key aspects such as metabolic health, lifestyle interventions, hormonal optimization, and individualized fertility treatment strategies. Expert-led discussions highlighted current evidence-based practices and their role in improving reproductive outcomes and overall patient well-being. The event witnessed active participation from 50 attendees, fostering meaningful academic exchange and reinforcing the importance of comprehensive fertility care in PCOS management.
On 6 January, the Association of Members and Fellows of RCOG, Telangana Chapter, organised a Continuing Medical Education programme on Early Pregnancy Complications at Fernandez Hospital, Stork Home
The CME featured sessions on the role of artificial intelligence in early pregnancy imaging and the increasing incidence of c-section scar pregnancies. This was followed by a panel discussion addressing scenarios including molar, ectopic, and pregnancy of unknown location.
The programme was attended by 51 participants, including 24 in-house clinicians and 27 external delegates. The sessions were well-received and appreciated for their clinical relevance and interactive discussions.
A CME programme on Childbirth and Pelvic Floor Health was conducted at Lemon Tree Premier. The session covered pelvic floor changes after childbirth, risk factors, prevention, and management.
The programme was attended by 43 participants and was well-received for its clinical relevance and interactive discussion.
On 3rd March, (CME) programme on Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders was conducted at Rainbow Hospital.
The CME covered key aspects including risk factors such as previous caesarean sections, antenatal diagnosis through imaging, and planned multidisciplinary management to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes. Case-based discussions highlighted practical challenges and surgical approaches in managing complex cases
The programme was attended by 71 participants, comprising in-house clinicians and external delegates. The sessions were well-received and appreciated for their clinical relevance and interactive discussions.
A CME session on maternal TORCH infections was successfully conducted at Yashoda hospitals Secunderabad with an enthusiastic participation of 41 delegates. The interactive discussions and real-life case scenarios made the session highly engaging and clinically relevant. It was a great platform for knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.
